Half Day Retreat: The Sacred Pause

No matter where you are in your journey of motherhood, you’ll be experiencing a thousand feelings all at once. This path is a rollercoaster, and at any given moment you can find yourself overwhelmed, confused, or ungrounded.

In this half day retreat we’ll explore the very first step to finding balance in this journey you’re taking; the first chapter in the story of your unfolding as a mother. 

The Sacred Pause is that gap between everything that’s pressuring you from the outside world, and all the thoughts pulling you around in your head. It is the sanctuary we find in which nothing is being demanded of us. In this experience of simply being, we can recharge our energy from a physiological point of view, but it also gives us the space in which to let our inner guidance come through. We interrupt the default patterns we’ve been running, and move into an altered state of consciousness to ask our deepest knowing how we want to move forwards. 

We’ll explore nervous system regulation through movement, meditation and visualisation. This is our form of self-soothing, which we will end up teaching our families, simply by practicing it ourselves.

We’ll learn to read our energy by awakening the subtle senses in our body, and learning to keep our consciousness in the present moment by inhabiting the body completely.

We’ll talk through how to shift and balance our energy centres via self Reiki techniques and you’ll also receive beautiful healing Reiki to help unblock areas of energetic tightness so that you can move into a more spacious, grounded way of being. 

We’ll take some deep breaths together and practice breathing techniques that can be easily sequenced into your day to help you find moments of stillness and calm. 

We want to give you the tools to continue practicing The Sacred Pause by yourself, so this workshop includes some time to share your experience (if you’d like to) and to ask questions about your specific practice.

This work is about stepping into your archetype of The Mother, so you can be anywhere along your journey, from the early stages of thinking about conceiving, working with your fertility, pregnant or with children. 

(Expect practices inspired by Yoga, Yoga therapy, Buddhist psychology, Reiki, hypnosis and somatics.)
