We often start the year with intentions or resolutions that slowly fade away as the weeks go by. Although ‘New Year, New You’ goals feel like a good idea, the reality can often be very different and there is a reason for that. When we only focus on changing ourselves using our mental capacity alone, we neglect both body & soul. All three parts; mind, body & soul each play a role in helping drive every decision you make and action you take.

This wellness workshop is designed to re-connect your mind, body & soul in ways that will help support in manifesting your intention. You'll drop deeper into your body with a combination of free movement practices, yoga sequences, breath work and an intention setting ritual.

Workshop breakdown:

6 Week Pregnancy Yoga Course

This carefully designed Pregnancy Yoga course will help to relieve pregnancy symptoms & strengthen your body for birth.
Join me in January for a nurturing, loving, welcoming 6 week Pregnancy Yoga course at The Barn KT9, Chessington. Book here.

Suitable for both beginners and experienced Yogis and for all stages of pregnancy, this specially designed course will help to relieve pregnancy symptoms, strengthen your body in preparation for birth, cultivsate confidence and calm and form a connection with your baby.

Week 1, Saturday 21st January, 11am-12pm

In week 1 we will focus on stabilising through the pelvis. We'll also explore and discuss the general principles of practicing Yoga when pregnant and how to correctly stand and move safely through the flow.

Week 2, Saturday 28th January , 11am-12pm

This week we will introduce some breathing techniques into the practice. These can be practiced at home and taken into birth.

Week 3, Saturday 4th February , 11am-12pm

This week we will focus on opening up and releasing through the hips, opening and softening the pelvis, toning the perineum and creating space in the uterus.

Week 4, Saturday 11th February, 11am-12pm

In week 4 we will focus on working the pelvic floor. We'll explore different pelvic floor techniques and come to engage and release the pelvic floor in various Yoga poses.

Week 5, Saturday 18th February, 11am-12pm

Time to enjoy a restorative practice paired with some Reiki healing. We'll spend lots of time slowing down and spending time in stillness in various restorative postures.

Week 6, Saturday 25th February, 11am-12pm

This week we will explore a beautiful relaxation method called Yoga Nidra to help the body and mind fully rest and restore.

We'll start the evening with a gentle meditation to settle into the space. We'll then move into gorgeous Yin postures to stretch the body. Whilst you enjoy your Yin practice I'll offer hands on Reiki healing. Pairing the restorative practice of Yin with the ancient healing modality of Reiki can have really powerful effects. Expect to feel more balanced, calm, grounded and energised.

We'll then drift off into a long Shavasana where I'll play sound bowls to deeply heal, relax and to help you slip into a beautiful, deep restful state.

There's a lot of wonderful support out there for us to utilise whilst we're pregnant, but not much to help us navigate the 4th trimester with confidence and calm.

As a mum myself I understand that this time can be hazy, magical, overwhelming, vulnerable, exhausting, confusing, joyful, scary and so much more! Yoga, meditation and breathwork might be the gentle, flexible, 

calm way to journey through this time.

I've carefully designed this workshop to equip mums-to-be with tools and practices that they can enjoy during pregnancy, birth but also that 4th trimester time. During this workshop we will enjoy:

Half Day Retreat: The Sacred Pause

No matter where you are in your journey of motherhood, you’ll be experiencing a thousand feelings all at once. This path is a rollercoaster, and at any given moment you can find yourself overwhelmed, confused, or ungrounded.

In this half day retreat we’ll explore the very first step to finding balance in this journey you’re taking; the first chapter in the story of your unfolding as a mother. 

The Sacred Pause is that gap between everything that’s pressuring you from the outside world, and all the thoughts pulling you around in your head. It is the sanctuary we find in which nothing is being demanded of us. In this experience of simply being, we can recharge our energy from a physiological point of view, but it also gives us the space in which to let our inner guidance come through. We interrupt the default patterns we’ve been running, and move into an altered state of consciousness to ask our deepest knowing how we want to move forwards. 

We’ll explore nervous system regulation through movement, meditation and visualisation. This is our form of self-soothing, which we will end up teaching our families, simply by practicing it ourselves.

We’ll learn to read our energy by awakening the subtle senses in our body, and learning to keep our consciousness in the present moment by inhabiting the body completely.

We’ll talk through how to shift and balance our energy centres via self Reiki techniques and you’ll also receive beautiful healing Reiki to help unblock areas of energetic tightness so that you can move into a more spacious, grounded way of being. 

We’ll take some deep breaths together and practice breathing techniques that can be easily sequenced into your day to help you find moments of stillness and calm. 

We want to give you the tools to continue practicing The Sacred Pause by yourself, so this workshop includes some time to share your experience (if you’d like to) and to ask questions about your specific practice.

This work is about stepping into your archetype of The Mother, so you can be anywhere along your journey, from the early stages of thinking about conceiving, working with your fertility, pregnant or with children. 

(Expect practices inspired by Yoga, Yoga therapy, Buddhist psychology, Reiki, hypnosis and somatics.)

Find a Mindful Flow: Yoga for Hormones and your Moon Cycle

In ancient times moon cycles or lunar cycles were believed to affect the growth of plants and many of the ebbs and flows of animal and human life. Even the female menstrual cycle has been linked to its lunar equivalent - some see it as no coincidence that the length of the average menstrual cycle coincides with the phases of our moon. 

Whether you believe this to be true or not there’s no denying that as we move through the 4 stages of our menstrual cycle our mood and physical body changes. Despite our mind and body changing as our hormone levels fluctuate and our body prepares to bleed, we typically don’t change a thing in our day to day life. We continue to keep busy, to rush from place to place, to be social butterflies, to work hard and to stick to our strict fitness regimes. 

In this workshop at Well & Good, Godalming, I offer suggestions and practices that can be adopted at each stage of your cycle to acknowledge and support the change that our body is experiencing.

Yin and Sound Bath, at R Space, Thames Ditton

Immerse yourself in the soothing practice of Yin Yoga paired with the healing sound and vibrations of a crystal sound bowl reiki Sound Bath. 

We'll start the evening by dropping into a meditation and then sighing into some deeply restorative Yin stretches to find release, balance and grounding. 

Then, simply lay back and allow the sound bowls to weave their magic around you. Sound baths are a wonderful meditation tool as they put us into a deep relaxed state where alpha and theta waves are dominant. When we surrender to these brainwave states it is deeply restorative for the body, promoting a sense of calm and relaxation, reducing anxiety, lowering blood pressure and aiding sleep.

Led by Sarah Ashe, Yoga Teacher and Reiki Healer, and Claire Paphitis - The Ayurveda Coach, Ayurvedic Consultant and Sound Healer, this is an evening not to be missed.

This 3-hour wellness retreat is designed to re-connect your mind, body & spirit in ways that will help support in manifesting your intention;  this is not only about external goals but also internal sensations. Both Francesca Raffa (Reiki Master, Shamanic Practitioner & Embodied Movement Practitioner) and Sarah Ashe (Yoga Teacher & Reiki Master) invite you to drop deeper into your body with a combination of embodied movement practices, yoga sequences and an intention setting ritual. We will move with intention and feel into being.
